Read 20 is dedicated to creating a strong community 
of readers by promoting the importance of reading with
children at least 20 minutes a day.
Since 2006 Read 20 distributed over 65,000 books; interacted with
over 43,123 children; confirmed at least 23,680 adults reading with children every day and provided resources and training for 1,277 teachers in area public schools and day cares.

GOAL: TO PROMOTE EARLY CHILDHOOD LITERACY
Successes

Distributed more than 65,000 books through the Readmobile, Read With Me Program, Zimmermann Comprehension Workshops, reading recognition programs, and community events as well as partnering with Imagination Library

Facilitated 700+ hours of read aloud activities for children and families across
the community

Placed eight Read 20 billboards across Hamilton County

Encouraged area elementary schools to include reading 20 minutes everyday as part of every student’s homework assignment

childhood settings and other partner needs
